How to Choose Branding Font Using Canva

Branding is important to any business but when your business is looking to drive most of their traffic from online sources, it is imperative. That is why so much thought and planning needs to go into branding your event planning business. But the good news is that you don’t have to figure all of this out by yourself. There are great tools available, such as Canva, that were created for all of your design and branding needs.

But how can you choose a branding font using Canva? We have put together some tips to help you choose a branding font using Canva. This website is very user-friendly and intuitive but that is a lot there. So we wanted to streamline the process for you.

1. Decide The Feel You Want

Branding is all about the feel of your business and that includes the font. If you have a business that wants to feel vintage but you choose a font that is modern, then you have gone against the feel of your brand. You will confuse your clients and send the wrong message about your business.

2. Stay Consistent

Branding means that you have a consistent feel to your marketing and design. You aren’t stuck with just one font but you do need to keep it between two or three fonts that are used consistently. They are often going to be used together as well. If you want to see an example of consistent fonts in branding check out this Client Welcome Package Kit.

This is an example of how different fonts work together as well as how they should be consistent. Keeping your fonts and branding consistent is what tells potential clients who you are. While rebranding does happen once a business has been established for a few years, that isn’t something new businesses should do.

3. Check Out Canva Branding Design School

Canva is a great resource not just for their fonts and fun designs but because they want to teach you how to use them. Canva wants you to be successful so they started the Canva Branding Design School. There are videos about all of the aspects of branding that can be accomplished by using Canva. This is a great way to get started with choosing a branding font using this website.

4. Use Canva Font Combination Generator

If Design School didn’t help enough, Canva also has a font combination generator to make it even simpler for you. To use this program you simply choose a starter font from the list. Anyone that you like and gives the feel of your brand. The generator will then recommend a second font and show you examples of what they look like together.

There is no limit to the number of times you can do this. If you don’t like the first two or even the first 10 then try again. Don’t give up until the font combinations speak to your brand. Once you have decided on the fonts for your brand then you can start designing. Enjoy!
